Cruise the world's most famous road - The Cabot Trail!

The Cabot Trail is one of the world's most famous roads! With winding values and epic mountainscapes, it's a bicyclist's dream.

Each year, hundreds of tourists visit Cape Breton to cruise the Cabot Trail on two wheels and now True North resort guests can do the same!

Beach & Bike Route

5 km Return

Leave True North along the Cabot Trail and cruise to the beach! Stops along the way can include a visit to The whale interpretive Centre and the local wharf Before you arrive at Pleasant Bay Beach! Stop in at Timmons Folk Art Gallery on your way back for a souvenir!

The Lone Shieling Route

15 km Return

Park and hike through 350 year old sugar maple trees, the Grande Anse Valley is one of the largest old growth hardwood forests in the Maritimes complete with a replica of a Scottish crofter's hut. Stop in at Cardinal Points for an ice cream on the way back!

MacIntosh Brook Route

9.25 km Return

Park and Hike, a family-friendly, fairly level stroll along a babbling brook and through a mature hardwood forest with a picturesque waterfall at the end. Visit the Sweet water maiden story boards at the beginning of the trail. Stop in at Timmons Store for a snack or drink on the way back!
